In skillet, brown 1 ½ pounds of fresh Italian sausage.
After browned, stir in:
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 (8 ounce) cans Hunt's tomato sauce
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Let mixture simmer on low heat.
Prepare one package Pastariso Rice lasagna noodles as directed on package.
Coat 11”x7” baking dish with Mazola no-stick spray.
Mix together in a separate bowl:
1 cup cottage cheese
5 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
In baking dish alternate layer of cooked lasagna noodles with layer of meat sauce/layer or lasagna noodles with layer of cottage cheese mixture/layer of lasagna noodles with layer of meat sauce/layer of lasagna noodles topped with 3 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Top layer will be lightly golden brown when done.
