This is not a central Iowa restaurant, but well worth the trip! We were headed for the Indian Oven right next door when we saw the "Persian Cuisine" sign, and a menu in the window. When we stepped up to check out the menu a man came out and told us we should come in for some great food. Of course the owner, Ahmad Nazar, is biased but he was also right. It was wonderful! He sat us down, gave us a little time to let us look at the menu and then started making suggestions. We told him we had couple of dietary problems to work around, gluten-free and diabetic. He said no problem. He said that there was a recent gluten-free meeting in Omaha and that several of the attendees ate all their meals there. After the meal and while sipping some great Turkish coffee, I told him about our website. He said that anyone that comes in and mentions that they came because of this web site can have "a free glass of wine or something". Go for the atmosphere. Go for the friendly service. Go for a free glass of wine. But most of all go for the food! |

7433 Broadway ( corner of 75th & Wornall) Kansas City In the Kansas City area is a pizza place that serves the best gluten free pizza ever plus gluten free beer to boot!!! This place is so good our entire soccer team goes every time we're in KC for tournaments. For those around the Des Moines area, it reminds me of The Tavern. They also can do vegan and dairy free. This place is AWESOME! http://www.waldopizza.net/glutenfree.pdf
